Vince Viola, former managing director of McCann’s Cathay Pacific Central Team, has left the agency for a top role with branded content and film production firm, The Media Village.
Earlier this year McCann announced that after 14 years as head of the Cathay business, Viola would return to Melbourne to join McCann Australia as chief growth officer.
But he revealed via LinkedIn that he has now taken on the role of partner and co-director of The Media Village based out of Melbourne.
He will work close with Charles Edwards in Hong Kong to develop branded content solutions, corporate films as well as managing and producing television and photography productions.
His shift coincides with Ann Chu, former CNN executive, who joins the company as head of media and content solutions.
“We’re really excited for Vince and Ann to be joining us,” Edwards said.
“Both bring a depth and breadth of talent that give The Media Village a significant advantage in this most exciting and still emerging space.”
