Vaasu S Gavarasana leaves Axa

Vaasu S Gavarasana, head of digital marketing at AXA General Insurance and Life Insurance Singapore has resigned.Gavarasana (pictured) confirmed the news to Marketing. He joined the company mid last year. In his role, he reported to CTO Johann Simon and chief marketing officer & chief corporate responsibility officer Li Choo Kwek Perroy.Gavarasana told Marketing in a statement, “My mission is accomplished at AXA . I  joined to lay a strong digital foundation. Now that's done.  I  am currently talking to a few companies to lead their marketing function.I am lucky to be one of the few marketing leaders with skills across the digital divide."Prior to the role, Gavarasana was head of business marketing of APAC in Yahoo. He was responsible for B2B marketing including thought leadership marketing and industry outreach programs aimed at strengthening Yahoo’s position within the marketing and advertising community.Before Yahoo, he was based in Delhi and held the role of EVP and head of the Delhi Office in Bates 141.
