Urbanscapes has appointed C27 as its official digital partner this year.
As the festival’s digital partner for 2017, the agency is tasked to create and maintain Urbanscapes’ official website, as well as craft and plan their multi-channel social media content and media buys. C27 will also be managing Urbanscapes’ live social media coverage of more than 30 events happening throughout Kuala Lumpur during the three-week long festival.
The Urbanscapes account covers a wide focus of the onground and online activity – with C27’s focus being on the digital and social space. This year, the festival will include a variety of events including arts, markets and culinary aside from their usual fare of local and international musical acts, said C27.
This year is especially crucial as it marks the 15th year of Urbanscapes, making it one the longest running creative arts festival in Malaysia.
“Urbanscapes has been running in Malaysia for a long time, and like any good cultural festival – it’s evolved with the times,” said Adrian Yap, co-founder and director of Freeform – the company behind Urbanscapes since its inception.
“What’s changed is how our audiences and attendees consume music, art and culture – especially with the rise of social media and digital technology. But what hasn’t changed is our mission to bring an international-level, multi-disciplinary festival to Malaysians, year after year,” Yap added.
Fazil Fuad, CEO of C27 said “We love this brand because it not only gives the future generation a platform to express themselves creatively, it also validates the pursuit for individualism in Malaysia.”
