Twitter has come up with a new real-time marketing and advertising tool for the APAC market. It has launched  its self-service Twitter ads for small and medium businesses (SMBs) in Singapore, Australia and Japan. Meanwhile globally, the self-service ads have been made available in 28 markets worldwide with two large SMB markets - India and Indonesia - next on the road map as well.Twitter also introduced Twitter Flight School, a new online resource to help agencies make most of real-time-marketing on the platform for their clients. It has partnered with Mindshare as its pilot regional agency to roll out Flight School to Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.Launched on 5 November, the Flight School contains information for agencies to develop high-impact marketing campaigns for clients, and has been made accessible via mobile as well. The content has been tailored down to bite-sized modules to address different agency roles and functions, including senior leadership, account planning and campaign management. In a press statement, the social media giant stated that as the largest and fastest-growing region for Twitter worldwide, the Asia Pacific region "stands to gain from the new advertising tools, where Asian businesses of any size will be able to take their marketing campaigns to the next level" by using Twitter's platform for real-time and public conversations.Aliza Knox, managing director, online sales, Twitter Asia Pacific added that small businesses are the economic backbone of every Asian market, accounting for the majority of businesses, jobs and economic output."This is why we are so excited about making our self-service Twitter Ads platform more accessible to SMBs across the region. With no minimum spend, they can target and engage in real-time with their customers and increase their sales on our live, public information network of 284 million active users worldwide," said Knox.
