TubeMogul makes senior hires for SEA and China ops

TubeMogul, an enterprise software platform for brand advertising, has appointed two senior digital industry executives to spur growth in its Southeast Asia and China operations.The Southeast Asia operations will be headed by Darin Williams, who has worked in Asia for more than fifteen years in executive roles at Nielsen, LinkedIn, and Facebook.  Williams (pictured) worked in senior roles for Nielsen in Japan, Australia, Korea, and Vietnam over a fourteen-year period, and is a former director of Facebook’s Southeast Asia offices. Williams was also previously head of talent solutions, LinkedIn, SouthEast Asia.TubeMogul launched in Southeast Asia three years ago and has established a sales, trading and operations team that delivers programmatic video advertising campaigns across ten markets in the region. This year, TubeMogul opened its office in Shanghai, and expects to substantially expand its China operations next year.The company has named Jeffery Zheng as MD of Greater China. He previously held senior positions with Ogilvy & Mather, Yahoo!, and Renren, in Taiwan and China. His campaign experience includes leading the social campaign for Unilever’s Dove Born Beautiful campaign in the region. Zheng has also spearheaded campaigns for Coca-Cola, Adidas, and P&G, and was recently VP of marketing for Touchmedia, the largest in-taxi media service in China.Susan Salop, VP of Asia, TubeMogul said: “With over three years presence, TubeMogul was one of the first programmatic video demand-side platforms in the region, and we have invested considerably in agency partnerships and education. We forecast that the Southeast Asia and China video advertising markets will mature substantially in the next few years, and both Zheng and Williams will ensure we succeed in that mission of brand advertising more simple, accountable and transparent.”
