Traditional medicine marketing in Malaysia in need of boost

Despite the rising number of traditional medicine marketers, the marketing in the arena needs to improve.This was said by deputy health minister Datuk Seri Dr Hilmi Yahaya and reported by an article on Malaysia’s New Straits Times. He asked for medicine practitioners to discuss ways to improve on the promotion of these products.Yahaya, was speaking at the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) at Penang's Politeknik Balik Pulau campus. He also said that the ministry is open to ideas to make this improvement a more feasible one.Meanwhile last year, the Traditional Medicine Council was set to regulate the industry. He also said that approximately 15 government hospitals in Malaysia offered traditional medicines as a form of treatment.
