Top level marketing changes at Yum Brands

Following a major global restructure in Yum Brands in November last year, the company has restructured its marketing leadership in Asia as well.Vice president and chief marketing officer, Asia FBU, Vipul Chawla has been promoted to managing director, Pizza Hut, Asia FBU. Anhul Chauhan has been appointed as chief marketing officer of Asia for KFC, taking over Chawla’s duties for KFC.Chauhan will report directly to the managing director of KFC Asia FBU, Ted Stedem.Prior to this, Chauhan’s role was senior marketing director and business head, Yum Brands Singapore. He will now be responsible for retail sales, marketing and branding for KFC across Asia, excluding China and India. He has been with Yum since 2011 and has held senior marketing roles in Malaysia and Singapore for KFC, according to his LinkedIn profile.Earlier last year, Yum brands announced a major restructure, combining the US and international divisions of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.Its China and India units as a result, will be kept separate and Yum Brands will be providing financial reporting by global division: KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, as well as for Yum! Restaurants China and Yum! Restaurants India.This also involved a leadership restructure. Rick Carucci, who played a major role in developing the new organisational strategy and resulting structure, will retire as Yum Brands’ president in March 2014.Under the restructure, Sam Su, Yum Brands vice chairman and chairman and CEO of Yum Restaurants China; Micky Pant, CEO of KFC; Scott Bergren, CEO of Pizza Hut; Greg Creed, CEO of Taco Bell; and Niren Chaudhary, president of Yum Restaurants India will be reporting to chief executive David Novak.
