Twitter is looking to kick off its Indonesia operations and set up an office in the country in the next three to six months. It will be Twitter’s sixth office in the Asia Pacific region and the company is actively hiring for sales support, media partnerships and business development staff to work with local users, partners and advertisers.Last week, Adam Bain (pictured), Twitter’s president of global revenue and partnerships visited Indonesia to strengthen the social media giants hold over the market.With a positive business environment following the Presidential election, the company added that it is the "right opportunity to grow its presence in Indonesia." Currently, Indonesia is one of Twitter’s top markets worldwide and is the largest emerging market for the company.Bain said: “It's truly an exciting time for us to be in Indonesia and we also believe there’s no better time for Indonesians to be on Twitter. Through our upcoming office here, we're looking forward to making our service even more useful and relevant for all Indonesians to discover great content, connect with others and express themselves on Twitter.”Meanwhile in Singapore, Twitter also hosted its #ToastAndTweet, a networking event with clients, agencies and brand advertisers at Ku De Ta Singapore . At the event, Twitter highlighted holiday shopping retail trends and opportunities for brands and marketers to engage consumers during the upcoming festive season.The event was hosted by Bain. Other senior Twitter executives were also present, such as Shailesh Rao, vice president, Asia Pacific; Aliza Knox, managing director, online sales, Asia Pacific; Parminder Singh, managing director, Southeast Asia & India and Frederique Covington-Corbett, international marketing director.[gallery link="file" ids="64164,64165,64166,64167,64168,64169,64170"]
