Telkom Indonesia inks deal with Indonesian Industrial Estates Association

Telkom Indonesia and the Indonesian Industrial Estates Association have signed a partnership for the provision and development of media, information, telecommunication, edutainment and services. This was revealed in a recent signing of a memorandum of understanding from both parties.The move is part of the country’s Making Indonesia 4.0 program, which aims to help the nation better compete globally in the digital era, according to Industry Minister Airlangga Hartanto, in a Jakarta Globe report. As such, Telkom’s role is to support the creation of the digital infrastructure, especially the provision of fibre optic networks and ensuring reliability and security.Judi Achmadi, EVP of the Telkom enterprise service division, explained that the fourth industrial revolution refers to the digitisation of products and services, internet of things and the use of big data and automation.Through the move, both entities look to bolster the growth and contribution of the Indonesia industrial sector moving forward, along with boosting the country’s economic growth. This is through the cooperation and support of Telkom’s ICT infrastructure, Dian Rachmawan, enterprise and business service director at Telkom Indonesia.He added that this is supported by the network of fibre optic infrastructure which currently extends across the archipelago from Banda Aceh to Papua, along with international infrastructure networks.
