TBWA\\Digital Arts Network has appointed former Vocanic GM of Singapore Charlie Young (pictured) as brand director.
As GM of Singapore for Vocanic for approximately two years, Young was in charge of deepening the agency’s client engagement and stakeholder relationships, as well as leading its growth in line with the regional strategy, according to his LinkedIn. He reported to former Vocanic CEO Shreeniwas V Iyer and GroupM CEO for Singapore Puneet Arora. Marketing has reached out to TBWA for comment.
Prior to that, he was the strategy and consulting lead at Vocanic for over a year, where he developed client and new business strategy for Vocanic across the region. He covered all aspects of Vocanic’s offering from content strategy, campaigns, digital solutions, social CRM and loyalty, to customer service and single social sign-on. Young also consulted with and built proposals for existing clients on their approach to social and digital, in a bid to enhance the brands’ digital footprint.
In June this year, former CEO of AMVBBDO in London Ian Pearman replaced Philip Brett as TBWA’s Asia president, while Brett moved on to a London-based role as global COO. Pearman leads all countries in the Asia region, excluding Oceania, which will continue to be led by Paul Bradbury.
This latest senior departure from Vocanic comes after Iyer departed the company earlier this year, having held the role since May last year. According to his LinkedIn profile, Iyer is now the senior engineering manager at digital marketing company Quantcast.
