Swift Foods CEO resigns

Luis Bernardo Concepcion, chief executive officer of Swift Foods, Inc., has resigned due to "personal reasons," the processed meat manufacturer announced in a disclosure yesterday.Concepcion will leave his post effective on 31 May after working with the food manufacturer for 17 years. He was elected Swift's president and CEO in 1996, according to the company's 2011 annual report.Replacing Conception staring 1 June is Francisco Segovia, director at Swift, and holds C-level positions in different industries - from logistics, finance and real estate.  He has been working with Swift's parent company RFM Corporation since 1986.The management shuffle came 6 months after RFM, a food and beverage conglomerate, sold Swift to a unit of Century Pacific Group to focus on stronger business segments, which includes as Selecta, its ice-cream joint venture with Unilever, Fiesta pasta, White King-flour-based mixes, Selecta Milk and Sunkist beverages.Swift, popular for its hotdog and canned corned beef products in the Philippines,  was unavailable to confirm if  the brand will be re-launched under the new management or if there will be changes in its media and creative agencies.
