StarHub shares smiles in latest campaign

StarHub has launched a year-long campaign celebrating the first ever International Day of Happiness (IDH).To increase awareness about IDH, StarHub partnered with radio station HOT FM91.3 to spread happiness all over Singapore through a marathon ‘live' radio show.Part of StarHub Mobile's ‘Happy Everywhere' brand movement, the public is invited to join in by sharing videos, photos or tweets of what happiness means to them on a microsite specifically created for the campaign.From all the user-generated content, videos will be chosen to create the "Happiest Commercial In The World" and those picked stand a chance to win prizes like the latest mobile handsets and more, StarHub in a statement said.A "Happy Bus" is also set to roam the streets of Singapore until 25 March to deliver "random acts of kindness" as well as bring special treats and surprises to locals all around Singapore. These include giving away free coffee and surprising the public with snacks and beverages.For the radio marathon, titled "StarHub Mobile Happython", two HOT91.3 deejays will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the ‘Longest Marathon for a Radio Music Show DJ - Team' by continuously broadcasting ‘live' for 75 hours or more.  The current record stands at 74 hours and three minutes.StarHub Mobile Happython which started at 6 am today, is broadcasting ‘live' from an outdoor glass-clad booth set up at Plaza Singapura.On social media, StarHub created a Facebook app with the help of Vocanic, which encourages Singaporeans to share their happy moments via status updates, photos and videos on social platforms using the #HappyEverywhere hashtag.DDB was the creative agency in charge while Mindshare handled the media buys for the campaign.IDH was established by the United Nations General Assembly last year.
