StarHub bolsters senior team with new appointments

StarHub has made a slew of appointments in a bid to bolster its senior leadership team.Chong Yoke Sin will now lead the enterprise business group, Mock Pak Lum will be in charge of business development, and Chong Siew Loong will now head up the network engineering division. The three senior executives report directly to Tan Tong Hai, StarHub’s chief executive officer (pictured).Kevin Lim, currently chief commercial officer will look to retire by the end of the year. In the interim, Lim will work closely with Chong to ensure a smooth transition for the enterprise business group while continuing to report to Tan.Meanwhile, Chong Yoke Sin’s appointment as chief, enterprise business group will start from 3 April 2017. She will be responsible for driving the next growth phase of the enterprise business and deepening the engagement with the business community. Prior to the appointment, she was CEO of Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS) for eight years since November 2008. She also led the healthcare IT industry as Chair of Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Asia Pacific Governing Council and was the first Asian vice chairman on the HIMSS Board of Managers. In her prior roles, Chong was CEO of NCS, moving up the ranks from chief operating officer and general manager of business development.Mock Pak Lum, who joined StarHub as chief technology officer in June 2011 is now chief business development officer. He will focus his responsibilities on discovering new business opportunities for the company and ensuring strategic investments are synergistic with its core businesses. In addition, he provides strategic direction for StarHub’s cyber security and big data analytics solutions.Chong Siew Loong was vice president of network engineering division before assuming the role of chief technology officer, overseeing network operations, development and transformation to support rapid changes to the network and telco business model.According to Tan, the new senior leadership appointments will support StarHub’s efforts to becoming a digital enabler."Today’s digital world is driving organisations to transform at a much faster rate than ever before. Pak Lum and Siew Loong are no strangers and I look forward to their continued contributions to help enhance our business investment portfolio and digital capabilities respectively,” he added.“With his solid experience and knowledge in the business-to-business space, Kevin was instrumental in significantly growing our Enterprise Business over the last six years which, at the end of 2016 contributed to over 40% of the group’s total revenue.
