Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia appoints head of retail clients

Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia has appointed Aaron Loo as its head of retail clients for Malaysia.Loo (pictured) was previously head, group consumer banking at Alliance Bank Malaysia. Prior to that, he senior managing director and head, group cards and personal financing division at CIMB. Loo has more than 15 years of experience in retail banking including strategy, product management, operations, collections & recovery, IT and project management.He will report to Mahendra Gursahani, managing director and CEO, Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia, and Sebastian Arcuri, regional head, retail clients, ASEAN, Standard Chartered Bank.Gursahani said: “I am confident that Loo’s leadership, we will be able to deliver on our retail clients strategy to ensure continued growth by deepening relationships with clients and digitising retail banking."Loo said: "There are many opportunities to serve our clients despite the challenging retail banking landscape. I look forward to working with the team here to continue delivering innovative banking solutions to and creating value for our customers."
