Spotify has teamed up with SmarTone, the leading telecommunications operator in Hong Kong, to provide its postpaid customers a hassle-free payment option when they sign up for Spotify.
To use the new service, SmarTone customers can jump onto the SmarTone CARE app and activate Spotify Premium for the standard price of HK$58 per month, with the standard one month free trial as well. The idea then, is to simply charge a single amount, taking away the hassle of paying two separate bills.
Boasting a vast catalogue of over 35 million songs, Spotify offers a plethora of both local and international tunes, with discovery and personalisation features including Discover Weekly (a playlist based on your individual listening habits, updated every Monday) and Release Radar (a playlist of new music based on the artists you follow and listen to most, updated every Friday).
“We are excited to partner with SmarTone to provide fans a seamless way to experience Spotify Premium. We believe that Spotify truly elevates the music-listening experience with instant access to unlimited music, personalized recommendation features and the best playlists curated by music experts and fans. Discovering the music you love is easier than ever,” says Gautam Talwar, managing director, Spotify, SEA.
