Spotify has appointed its first ever chief marketing officer, Seth Farbman. Farbman has confirmed his appointment on his Twitter account.
He will commence in his new role on 6 April 2015 and will be based in the New York office.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Farbman was formerly global chief marketing officer at Gap for four years before departing from the role in January this year. Prior to that, he was senior partner and worldwide managing director at Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide for six years and simultaneously held a role as a president at OgilvyEarth.
He also held marketing roles at telecommunications giants AT&T and Verizon Wireless before joining Carter Ryley Thomas as senior vice president in 2002.
