Southco announces new managing director for APAC

Southco, Inc., the global leader in engineered access hardware solutions, has appointed Jay Lu as managing director of Southco Asia Pacific. In his new position, Lu will lead the entire Asia Pacific team to drive regional business to the next level with sustainable and profitable growth.Lu is based in Hong Kong, Southco’s Asia Pacific headquarters and reports to Thomas Mehler, president at Southco.Lu joined Southco Greater China as its general manager in September 2015, bringing to Southco extensive experience in strategic planning and global business management.Prior to joining Southco, Lu spent more than 10 years at Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions, serving as director of Asia Pacific, OEM Business Unit and later as general manager, Global OEM Business Unit of Scanning & Mobility Division. Lu had also previously held roles at American Express and New York State ASRC.“Jay expanded Southco’s Greater China business with double-digit growth in 2016,” said Mehler. “I am confident that he will continue to grow the company’s business in Asia Pacific by driving solid connectivity with our customers, deliver solutions that bring customer satisfaction to an even higher level, and reach a broader clientele.”
