We Are Social appoints new Australia MD

Global agency We Are Social has appointed advertising and media veteran Suzie Shaw to the role of managing director, Australia.Shaw (pictured) is based in Sydney and will report to Nathan McDonald, co-founder of We Are Social.Shaw has over 14 years of international experience with some of the UK’s leading creative and integrated agencies, including TBWA and Engine. Most recently she held the position CEO of Sydney based agency Host, prior to which she was managing director.Shaw has extensive comms and marketing experience across a broad range of industry categories including financial services, travel and tourism, FMCG and more.McDonald said, “As socially-led marketing becomes more of a priority for clients everywhere, Shaw’s experience across creative, integrated and digital agencies will accelerate the growth of We Are Social in Australia.”Shaw said, “Social is such an exciting space; it's a real growth area and giving rise to new found creativity, so joining the agency that puts social thinking at the centre of their strategic and creative work is a great opportunity.”
