Snapchat has pulled down its lens that landed it in hot water. The “Yellow Face” filter overlaid faces with slanted eyes and wide cheeks topped off with a bucktooth mouth.According to the app developer, the app won’t be put back into circulation and was meant to be “playful and never to offend."https://twitter.com/LiamMGallivan/status/763021741845340161https://twitter.com/tequilafunrise/status/763409720682119168https://twitter.com/bkisnah/status/763081209039745024This was not the first time the company has been labeled racist. In fact, just earlier this year, its “Bob Marley” filter flaunting dreadlocks on users and darkening their skin also copped some flak. The company later took down the filter.
