Singtel hires former Samsung strategy and digital lead Jean-François Legourd

Samsung’s Asia Pacific strategy and digital part leader, Jean-François Legourd (pictured), has left the company and joined Singtel as the new director of strategy and consulting. Marketing has reached out to Singtel for more information.

According to his LinkedIn Legourd has worked with Samsung Electronics since June 2013. In his early years with the brand, he held the position of corporate strategy engagement manager, based in Korea. In addition, he worked on different initiatives such as e-commerce, market entry, independent software vendor partnership program, healthcare equipment go-to market, creation of B2B department and infrastructure development.

In 2015, Legourd moved to Singapore and was tasked to address corporate strategy needs and to lead new regional teams.

Prior to that he was director of consulting services, strategy, marketing and sales in the company Corporate Executive Board based in Europe. He was in-charge of engaging consultation across various industries including technology, media, telecommunication, FMCG and financial services.

He also worked in Microsoft, where he helmed the role as a solution partners manager and solution sales professional. He was based in France and was involved in the growth of business solutions around the Microsoft Office System back in 2005.

Samsung did not comment on his departure.
