SingTel finds Madeline Tan's replacement

SingTel has hired Eric Tan as director of advertising sales for its Group Digital Life arm. Tan was last senior VP, business development apac for Movideo.In his current role, he will be responsible in driving advertising sales and sponsorship across all SingTel Products. He reports to Anthony Shiner, head of sales, marketing & advertising.Eric Tan replaces Madeline Tan (pictured) who left to join ESPN to lead its regional sales efforts. Tan joined ESPN from SingTel, where she has served the past five years.  She left SingTel in November.Meanwhile, SingTel also saw the departure of Grant Watts late last year. Watts will be rejoining Microsoft as Global Search and Display Service Leader for Asia, including the Greater China Region.He will be responsible for driving the Yahoo Bing alliance in the region and ensuring its partner Yahoo has the necessary operational support to sell and service Premium advertisers in Asia. He will also have sales, services and marketing responsibility for all small & medium business advertising business in the region.Matt Lydon, general manager of SMB Advertising at Microsoft Corporation commented: “ Watts has tremendous drive and passion for the online advertising business and the impact we can have for our customers and partners. We are now operating the Yahoo Bing Network in India, SEA, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and operating Bing in China, Australia, and New Zealand.   Watts will play a critical role in the continued growth of Microsoft’s online advertising business in the region.”
