SPH restructures marketing division

Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) has made a few changes in its marketing division.Elsie Chua (pictured) is set to take over Leslie Fong's incumbent position as head of marketing division, come January 1 2015. Chua, in her new role, is expected to continue promoting SPH's newspaper and other non-digital businesses. Her focus will lie on finding new ways to serve existing as well as new advertisers with the aim of maintaining SPH's position in the media industry.Meanwhile, Fong will stay as senior executive vice president but will only work half-time. He will continue to oversee acquisitions and joint ventures in new media as well as both the marketing and digital divisions, the latter which is headed by Julian Tan.Tan is tasked with developing new revenue streams and fostering effective cross-platform selling across print display and classified, out-of-home and digital advertising.Also, Tan Ooi Boon will serve as the deputy head of marketing division and oversee both the integrated sales department and the classifieds department.SPH CEO Alan Chan said: " The restructuring of marketing division demonstrates SPH's commitment to a proper and orderly succession within the company. It also ensures better focus by the marketing and digital divisions in their areas of specialisation and assures our stakeholders that their needs will be effectively served".
