Awkward Ah Seng

Awkward Ah Seng isn’t giving up anytime soon

Awkward Ah Seng is back to inspire Singaporeans to be more gracious to one another.

The Youtube series created by the Singapore Kindness Movement has been renewed for a second season, spelling out more social misadventures for the local hero. After hitting an average of 100,000 views per video in its first installment, protagonist Ah Seng is back to entertain audiences with series of awkward and oftentimes amusing predicaments.

All six episodes of the latest season went live on 11 February.

The second season is set to deliver more comedic albeit awkward interactions between Ah Seng and his new neighbours.

Awkward Ah Seng was created as a response to the fears of rejection or misunderstanding that is prevalent in Singapore. This was according to the Graciousness Index, a study on attitudes and behaviours revolving around graciousness in Singapore.

William Wan, general secretary of the Singapore Kindness Movement is positive that SKM’s use of humour would make audiences more receptive to making adjustments in their social interactions.

Season two of Awkward Ah Seng continues to extend the Singapore Kindness Movement’s theme of “A Nation of Kindness Starts with One”, which reinforces the idea that a kinder and more gracious society is a personal choice and a shared responsibility.
