Singapore Hospice Council hands BLK J creative duties

The Singapore Hospice Council has appointed independent creative agency BLK J to help educate Singaporeans about palliative care, following a multi-agency pitch held in June, for approximately a month. The three-year appointment sees BLK J partnering with Havas Media for the account.The council is looking to educate more Singaporeans on the many available options for palliative care, and to start talking, planning and taking steps towards seeking palliative care. In a statement to Marketing, BLK J’s CEO and co-founder, Rowena Bhagchandani said work for the council will roll out "real soon"."We are honoured that the Singapore Hospice Council has chosen us for this very important task. Palliative care is one of the pillars of any compassionate society and we will do everything to help the council meet its objective," Bhagchandani said.“It is a privilege and a great responsibility to be handed a national initiative this important. We look forward to partnering an agency as Creative and enthusiastic as BLK J to deliver the results that are needed," Jacqui Lim, CEO of Havas Media, said.Recently, the agency made five new hires to support its growing stable of clients. BLK J appointed Qiu Jing as art director and Luke Somasundram as copywriter. Skanda Lokeswaran also joins as strategic planner from Dentsu Singapore. Its other latest business wins include the Singapore Week of Innovation & Technology 2017, UnionPay, Singapore Press Holdings Radio, Grab and The Learning Lab. BLK J is also one of the six agencies shortlisted for Changi Airport Group's chemistry test for its creative and digital pitch.
