Singapore Computer Society appoints Ruder Finn

The Singapore Computer Society (SCS) has appointed Ruder Finn as its public relations partner.It will now provide SCS with public relations counsel and media communications strategy in support of various campaigns this year including the upcoming 20th anniversary of the IT Leader Awards and SCS’ membership and certification programs.The Singapore Computer Society was established in 1967 and has a thriving membership base of over 31,000 IT professionals and students.With a total of 12 specialist groups that promote mind-sharing of case studies, experiences and the latest trends and emerging technologies, the industry association is the voice of Singapore's infocomm and digital media community.“We are confident in the choice of Ruder Finn as our communications partner in this exciting year for the Singapore Computer Society. With this year’s 20th anniversary of our IT Leaders Awards in March, as well as our ongoing efforts to serve as the voice for the local IT industries, we were looking for a PR partner who understands our values and our mission,” said Howie Lau, president of Singapore Computer Society.“Ruder Finn has a strong of understanding of what we want to achieve and we look forward to working with them closely to meet our communications objectives.”Yu Poh Leng, senior vice president, general manager, Ruder Finn Asia, said: “We are excited to partner with SCS, and to have this opportunity to together shape the communication outreach for Singapore’s leading infocomm and digital media advocacy group.”
