JobMarket, the recruitment magazine under Sing Tao News Corporation, has acquired the exclusive distribution right for free recruitment publication at four main MTR lines, replacing Recruit.Starting 24 January, JobMarket will be replacing Recruit to be distributed at the four main MTR lines every Tuesday and Friday including Island Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Kwun Tong Line and Tseung Kwan O Line; while Recruit will be only available at Tung Chung Line, East Rail Line and West Rail Line.JobMarket will remain available at the existing in-station distribution points at Tung Chung Line, East Rail Line and West Rail Line.Re-launching in a revamped layout, JobMarket will offer job-seekers of different ages up-scaled contents as well as to offer employers to access the most suitable candidates to fill their job openings.“Entering JobMarket into the main MTR lines is one of the important strategic moves,” said Charles Ho, chairman of Sing Tao News Corporation. "This will allow us to gain important market share given that recruitment needs are expected to escalate, especially among a number of industries that have benefited from economic growth and infrastructure development in recent years, including retail, aviation, logistics and construction.”He added Sing Tao is planning to scale up its efforts in the local recruitment media segment in the coming year as the group is positive on the outlook of the recruitment demand in the human resources market.“Traditional core industries such as finance and accounting will continue to draw talents, and population ageing creates increasing demand for manpower in the medical and healthcare industry,” said Ho.“All these will fuel the growth of the local recruitment market and bring opportunities to recruitment media. We are confident that the Group’s recruitment media will strengthen in terms of circulation, readership, content and services to become the leader in the industry," he added.
