Siemens has appointed UK-headquartered B2B integrated marketing communications agency Fifth Ring to handle public relations and social media strategy. The agency will support its digital factory divisions across Southeast Asia. The work will be run out of Fifth Ring's Singapore office.Raimund Klein, executive vice president, Digital Factory and Process Industries and Drives (ASEAN), Siemens, said, “Siemens is already recognised as a respected German technology powerhouse. Challenges, which we have mandated Fifth Ring to focus on, are two-fold.”One is to increase awareness for the powerful technologies from its DF and PD divisions, and second is to increase understanding of the tangible benefits the combination of our hardware and software solutions can bring to our clients.“We are hoping that Fifth Ring will be able to apply its B2B marketing expertise in furthering our business across ASEAN,” Klein added.Managing director of Fifth Ring Asia Pacific, Himanshu Verma said, “We have in-house processes to clearly establish client’s requirements, their target groups and thereafter tailor make communications depending on the channel. This specialised approach will hold us in good stead in executing an effective regional campaign for Siemens.”
