Singapore Airlines (SIA) has appointed Ink to redesign and relaunch its inflight magazine and represent its magazine and digital media sales. The revamp will be rolled out in May 2018 and looks to feature a contemporary design and content drawn from SIA’s global route network.According to a tender document seen by Marketing, for planning purposes, at least 55,000 copies of SilverKris’ magazine will be produced monthly, with a minimum profit guarantee to SIA at the end of the contract term. SIA’s publishing contract with incumbent SPH Magazines will also expire with the production of the April 2018.The new magazine, which will be available on board all SIA flights and SilverKris lounges worldwide, looks to be “an inspiring, globally-minded publication”. In addition, Ink will be revamping Singapore Airlines’ travel inspiration website and app SilverKris.com and represent all digital advertising opportunities.Ink is also the current publisher for Silkwinds, the inflight magazine of Singapore Airlines’ regional carrier SilkAir, and represents the airline for magazine and media sales. Ink’s joint CEO Michael Keating said that as well as being something for readers to deeply engage with, the magazine also offers advertisers the opportunity to reach and connect with Singapore Airlines’ highly sought-after and influential audience.“SilverKris will be the centrepiece of a complete multimedia suite, including an exciting new series of destination videos, that will inspire and engage passengers at every stage of their journey,” Ink’s Asia Pacific MD Ric Stockfis added.
