SIA hunts for PR agency

Singapore Airlines is reviewing PR agencies for the UK and Ireland market, prior to kicking off a competitive pitch.According to Nicholas Ionides, vice president of public affairs of SIA, this is part of its review process in select markets over the world which happens every few years.The current agency for the UK market is Weber Shandwick who has also been invited to submit proposals, Ionides confirmed to Marketing.The chosen agency will handle duties pertaining to press office work, fielding media queries, assisting with press releases, media familiarisation trips, among other work.The contract will follow the SIA PR Consultancy contract guidelines which cover the financial year, from 1 April of the current year to 31 March the following year.SIA currently has PR consultancies in 16 markets globally, each handling a specific market. The business is estimated to be around £10,000 per month.
