Home grown web portal ShoppingLifestyle.com has received investments from MySpace founder Brad Greenspan.Greenspan said that he saw great potential in the site to become a top women's destination online. "Their content offerings and business model are perfect for rapid expansion into new markets," says Greenspan. "The team has done a wonderful job in Singapore, and I believe they are ready to become an influential player in the global digital media landscape."When contacted by Marketing, Calvin Yew managing director at ShoppingLifestyle declined to reveal how much stake Greenspan owns in the company, but said the new investment will not have any implications on its branding or marketing strategy."Our immediate focus will be to strengthen the team as well as solidify our position in Singapore and in other high-growth markets like Malaysia, Philippines and the United States," Yew said.Founded in 2006 by Yew and co-founder Shellen Pan, ShoppingLifestyle.com is a content source for women with articles on fashion, beauty, relationships, diet, health, celebrities and entertainment. The website currently sees over 150,000 unique readers per month, and works with high profile marketers such as Procter & Gamble, LVMH and Global Beauty International.
