Shiseido steps up digital capabilities with head of digital hire

Shiseido (Hong Kong) Ltd. has hired Zaheer Nooruddi, formerly executive director and head of digital innovation at Golin, as head of digital.

Reporting to Morgan Tan, president of Shiseido (Hong Kong) Ltd, Nooruddin will partner with business stakeholders to accelerate the company’s digital transformation in Hong Kong, in line with Shiseido’s global digital strategy announced early 2016.

In a move that further develops Shiseido’s digital capabilities, he takes charge of specialist units focussing on digital transformation, including consumer insight and customer experience (CICE), customer relationship management (CRM), UX design (UXD) and digital delivery (DD).

He will also pursue synergies across the region and with the company’s recently-established global digital centre of excellence in New York.

Prior to joining the cosmetic company, Nooruddin worked at Golin, Burson-Marsteller and Edelman. He has more than 16 years experience developing digital media solutions for leading companies and brands across the luxury retail, hospitality, travel, and technology sectors.

“Shiseido began a global digital transformation in early 2016, and I’m thrilled to work with Morgan and the company’s leadership team in Hong Kong,” he said.

“This is a once-in- a-career opportunity to redefine the beauty experience for consumers, in line with Shiseido’s vision of choice and wellness, and at the same time to contribute to the beauty industry by establishing a centre of excellence for omni-channel marketing and commerce in Hong Kong.”
