Sheba taps on Facebook
Sheba, a premium wet cat food brand, is rolling out a Facebook campaign for its launch into the Singapore market. Created by BBDO Proximity Singapore, the Sheba Catwalk Facebook application runs as an online show for cats, inviting pet owners to create a Facebook brand page for their cats. It aims to create a community for cat owners while raising awareness to the brand. Sheba has also partnered Singapore’s Cat Welfare Society to further encourage its Facebook fans to be part of the campaign.
Government agencies on the lookout
Land Transport Authority is looking to appoint an ad agency for placement of ads. The contract is for six months and is set to close on 11 January 2013. Last year, LTA also appointed Saatchi Lab for its employer branding campaign in 2011. Meanwhile the Ministry of National Development is also looking for an Out-of-Home advertising agency and the appointment will be for two to four weeks. It is also looking to advertise on online platforms.
Heineken picks Lowe for 2013
Heineken has appointed Lowe’s brand engagement agency Open in Thailand for 2013. With the appointment, Open will be responsible for developing Heineken’s digital work, including managing digital platforms and creating digital campaigns to bolster the brand’s retail sales. Heineken is distributed and marketed under TAP Trading in Thailand.
