Shangri-La CMO Steven Taylor leaves role

Steven Taylor, chief marketing officer of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, has left the company.Taylor's profile under the management section on the Shangri-La website has been taken down and when Marketing reached out to his office number, a staff member stated he had "resigned from the post already".Multiple attempts to contact Taylor have been unsuccessful at the time of writing.During his two-year stint, Taylor oversaw all functions across Shangri-La's sales and marketing division, including revenue management, sales, digital marketing, brand communications, loyalty and partner marketing, customer insights and relationship management, reservations and distribution and corporate communications.Prior to joining Shangri-La, Taylor was the former vice president of marketing for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Prior to Taylor's departure, Shangri-La's Hotels & Resorts former president and CEO Greg Dogan, whom Taylor used to report to, stepped down from his position at the hotel group in April.At present, former vice chairman Madhu Rao serves as acting president, according to the official website.Meanwhile, Beng Chee Lim (林明志) has been named as the new CEO of Shangri-La Asia from 2017 onward. Read more stories at www.marketing-interactive.com
