The venture is supported by the Singapore Tourism Board’s Kickstart Fund. According to a press statement, the venture was started in response to consumers’ fast evolving shopping habits and expectations for intrinsic value, distinct designs and fine craftsmanship.Lee has over 14 years of experience in the digital industry. This includes GoBob.sg, online marketplace built on social good; as well as co-founding independent digital agency, SECTION.In his new role with JeweLuxe World Online, he will help drive the strategic vision of transforming the onsite retail experience at the exhibition into an e-commerce platform that promotes sophisticated living. In a statement to Marketing, the SECTION spokesperson added that together with Lee, Roy Lim, Eugene Boey, Low Yongzhen and Ryan Hoe were founding partners of SECTION, all whom have contributed to the growth of the agency to a stable position today."We recognise that Lee would prefer more time to concentrate and grow his other business interests and mutually agreed to allow him more time to pursue his other endeavours. As such, with our history, he remains a vested shareholder and good friend with SECTION," read the statement.“The launch of a one-of-a-kind multi-dimensional sophisticated living showcase is the perfect opportunity to extend the retail experience into a year-round online retail concept. The e-commerce marketplace, JeweLuxe World, will be a digital community for buying curated pieces of the finest design, craft, artistry and innovation, and also for sharing insights and appreciation,” Lee said in a press statement on the brand launch.
