Scripps Networks beefs up APAC distribution and ad sales team

Scripps Networks Asia Pacific has appointed Leena Singarajah as the head of distribution and ad sales.In her new role at Scrippts Networks, Singarajah (pictured) will develop strategies for the continued distribution growth and regional and local ad sales business development for Scripps Networks’ channels across the region, including Asian Food Channel, Food Network, Travel Channel and HGTV.She will also manage program sales and distribution in the region, in partnership with Hud Woodle, vice president, international program licensing and distribution. Based in Singapore, Singarajah will begin immediately in a limited capacity before starting full time in January 2015. In addition, she will report directly to Derek Chang, managing director, Scripps Networks Asia Pacific.Prior to her current appointment, Singarajah most recently served as the senior vice president, head of sales and business development, Asia Pacific for IMG Media.“As Scripps Networks continues to expand rapidly in the Asia Pacific region, it’s important that we continue to invest in our infrastructure and leadership teams,” said Chang.
