SC Johnson settles global media pitch

After completing a global assessment, SC Johnson has selected PHD, part of the Omnicom Group, to manage its global media buying. PHD also handles SC Johnson’s global media planning.

Earlier this year, in partnership with a third-party consultancy Ebiquity, the company undertook a media buying analysis in nearly a dozen markets globally.

PHD will work with both of the company’s creative agencies – BBDO and Ogilvy. The company continues to work with both creative agencies globally.

“We are pleased to partner with PHD for global media buying,” said Fisk Johnson, chairman and CEO, SC Johnson said. He added that after an extensive assessment, the company is confident that PHD has the capability and global footprint to help “drive greater efficiencies and reduce complexity.”

Prior to the appointment, its global media buying duties that were understood to be delegated between two agencies -Omnicom Group’s PHD and WPP’s Maxus. PHD last handled the company’s digital buying while Maxus led media network on the account, said the article.
