Saatchi & Saatchi has brought in a team of 48 digital and e-commerce experts in Shanghai in one fell swoop, headed by chief e-commerce officer Cyril Drouin and e-commerce general manager Christine Wang, both newly added to the agency.
The digital and e-commerce team have been assigned vital roles to further upgrade the agency’s capabilities in digital, e-commerce, mobile marketing, and digital activation.
Drouin and Wang report directly to Saatchi & Saatchi Greater China CEO Michael Lee.
The new recruits join Saatchi & Saatchi from Bysoft China, a leading digital and e-commerce service provider, where they established an impressive track record over the past decade.
In their previous posts, Drouin served as Bysoft China’s CEO and Wang as general manager. Beyond designing and developing digital marketing campaigns, their collective expertise spans nearly every facet of Internet-based businesses.
Lee commented: “The whole team represents the absolute top level of digital and e-commerce talent in the China market. They will undoubtedly help us provide our clients with even better and more professional digital and e-commerce services, while also enabling us to greatly expand our digital business.”
He said the creative firm has continually developed its digital communications business and worked to achieve digital talent development over the past years.
“This move represents a true digital talent expansion on the grandest scale the agency have ever had in China. It also raises Saatchi & Saatchi’s ratio of employees with integrated digital communications capabilities to 55%.”
