ROKT appoints new APAC MD

ROKT has appointed Craig Shotland (pictured) as its managing director for the Asia-Pacific region. Shotland will report to ROKT's CEO, Bruce Buchanan, and will join the company's executive committee. He will be based in ROKT's Sydney office.In his new role, Shotland will oversee all commercial and operational activities in the APAC region, supporting business development efforts originating from ROKT's offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Singapore. In addition, Shotland will spearhead ROKT’s expansion into North Asian markets.Shotland comes to ROKT from being part of the founding team of Netstarter where, as managing director, he led a team of more than 150 e-commerce professionals. Areas of focus included digital strategy, performance marketing, e-commerce consulting and solution architecture.Prior to that, he was a consultant at Bearingpoint. While there, he handled strategic business restructuring, process re-engineering, IT implementation and business intelligence projects. He began his career as a consultant at PwC working on a number of global e-commerce initiatives."Shotland is a seasoned executive with substantive experience in all aspects of online advertising and commerce," Buchanan said."That background, as well as his involvement with many of the region's leading brands, will serve ROKT well as we step up our focus on growth across the broader APAC region," he added.
