Rocket Entertainment looks to entice advertisers with fresh Hollywood content

Media entertainment company, Rocket Entertainment has launched a new media platform in Asia and is partnering up with leading 5 star hotels in Singapore to bring new fresh Hollywood movie content to Asia. The movie selections also come with  advertisement commercial slots that are non-skippable before each movie. These commercials begin when guests select Free Rocket Movies to watch on demand.According to the company, with Rocket’s media platform in premium hotels around the Asia Pacific region, brand owners can reach out to international audience in cities and popular tourist locations. It added that the strategic partnership with five star hotels "will also enhance brand marketing value through cross promotion".Chief executive officer of Rocket Entertainment, Jovian Wee said the business concept came about during his frequent travelling and staying in hotels across the globe. Flicking through the hotel channels, he found nothing that interest him and he sought out to change hotel in-room entertainment experience. As such he began the company working with Jovian Wee, Wayne Lim (CFO) and Daryl Wong (COO), backed by their technical expertise and years of media entertainment experience, launched Rocket Entertainment.The company is currently headquartered in Singapore, with support operations across Asia Pacific. It claims to be the only licensee for ads before VOD in the hospitality industry for leading Hollywood studios content including Warner Brothers, Sony Pictures, Walt Disney, 20th Century Fox, Paramount and Universal.“We have created a Variety platform for video-torials or infomercial. Purpose designed video-torials can also be integrated to convey your brand story in a more effective manner. In addition, Ad Listing gives brand additional touch points on directory information to drive traffic to client’s establishments,” said the company in a press statement.Rocket Entertainment has also partnered with Malaysia Golden Global Awards Short Film Competition to provide a platform for the new and potential worldwide rising filmmaker to showcase their talents. The winner’s entries will be featured in Rocket’s Variety platform. Strategic partnership with five star hotels will also enhance brand marketing value through cross promotion.Today, in Singapore, Rocket claims to be already in 1500 rooms offour4 premium hotel groups and 100,000 rooms of top 4 and 5 star hotels in all major cities in China. By 2017, Rocket is expecting to have a close to 150,000 rooms across China and over 10,000 rooms in Singapore reaching out to a total of 8.3 million guests a month.A soft launch was held at Cathay Cineleisure, Orchard and 150 guests were treated with a private movie screening of “Dr Strange” released on that day right after the launch programme. The soft launch attendances were mainly from the advertising and media agencies, brands owners, retailers, premium hotel partners and business associates.Marketing has reached out to Rocket Entertainment for more information.
