Robinsons Group hands integrated comms account to DDB Singapore

Robinsons Group has appointed DDB Group Singapore to manage integrated communications and marketing campaigns for the retailer. DDB’s scope of work will include major festive occasions and calendar events such as the Great Singapore Sale and Black Friday.Currently no time frame has been slatted and the account was awarded to DDB without a pitch. Marketing understands Robinsons Group worked with Y&R in the past.Donna Chua, group marketing director of Robinsons said, “We’ve produced wonderful creative work with DDB before such as Robinsons Black Christmas and Cirque de Noel. I'm impressed DDB has grown through the years with digital, shopper marketing, social content and CRM, so we’re looking to set new benchmarks”.The iconic department store made headlines late last year with the resounding success of its Black Friday promotion amidst a lackluster retail landscape. Meanwhile, adding on to the Christmas festivity along Orchard last year, Robinsons Group and OCBC Bank joined in with their Christmas-themed 3D flagships at the Heeren and Tangs bus shelters respectively.
