R3 has named Sabrina Lee its first China managing director, a title she has earned after five years with the independent consultancy.
Lee joined R3 in 2010 after senior roles at Dentsu Beijing and at her own agency, Palos China.
“Sabrina truly embraces our core values of Insights, Independence, and Integrity” said Greg Paull, Principal and Co-Founder of R3.
“Within her five years, she has massively grown our overall client base and significantly expanded our service offering.” he added.
Lee added that it was a great reward to be R3’s first China managing director. “I still feel we have a lot more to achieve in this market,” Lee said.
“With the recent austerity measures, marketers and agencies are now under even more pressure than before to benchmark and measure their ROI and results” she added.
In addition to leading client engagements with Mercedes Benz, Visa, Johnson & Johnson and AB Inbev, Ms Lee has also been instrumental in building R3’s business with local companies including Mengniu, Huawei, Bank of Communications and FAW.
“The days of ‘two speed’ marketers in China are well and truly over” she added. “Local companies are looking outward for global best practice in digital, social and integration – and in many cases moving faster forward than multinationals.”
