Qatar Airways launches regional PR pitch

Qatar Airways has called for a regional pitch with the markets of Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia being involved, Marketing understands. In the Singapore market, Qatar is looking for an agency to strengthen its relationships with the local market and support media relations.Several agencies have already been shortlisted for Singapore.For Malaysia, the contract is for a period of three years. The initial pitch, called last year, involved 12 agencies, but has been shortlisted to include Go Communications, MediaBond, GRA Communications, Cohn & Wolfe XPR and That PR Agency.A spokesperson from Qatar also told Marketing that no time frame has been given for the contract and but declined to comment further on the other markets.Communication duties for the brand were previously managed in-house.
