Publicis Singapore has appointed Sharim Gubbels as creative director of social. The role is a newly created one and will see him handling both local and regional clients. Prior to his appointment, Gubbels was creative director at We Are Social.
The move follows a focus to strengthen Publicis’ social team amid a growing social roster which includes brands such as Audi, Nespresso, OCBC and Sadia, said the agency.
Gubbels has over 17 years of experience in the industry and have worked with clients such as Singapore Airlines and Lenovo. Prior to his role at We Are Social, he held stints as associate creative director at TUS Isobar and senior art director at TBWA\TEQUILA Singapore, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Gubbels further strengthens a formidable social unit which has successfully integrated social media into broader brand conversations, sweeping local and regional marketing effectiveness awards in the past three years.
