Bloomberg News Asia names Philip Lagerkranser as managing editor

Philip Lagerkranser, previously team leader of Asia deals at Bloomberg News, has been promoted to managing editor at Bloomberg News in the region.His new role involves overseeing around 30 reporters and editors covering banking, insurance, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, real estate and financial regulation across the Asia-Pacific.This is a step up from Lagerkranser's previous role where he managed an editorial team covering mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets in the region, a position he has held since 2011.Commenting on the promotion, Lagerkranser said, "Across commercial and investment banking, hedge funds, regulation and property, I'll be furthering our mission to provide our readers with the most influential, market-moving breaking news as well as insightful, must-read enterprise reporting."
