Petronas fuels fans with celebrities

Petronas Dagangan has launched Fuelled by Fans campaign, aimed to thank its local consumers by rewarding them with prizes and a chance to be with celebrities.

The campaign is targeted at all Malaysian drivers and runs from October 2013 to November 2014. Customers who spend RM30 at any Petronas station will stand the chance to take a drive with celebrities such as Maya Karin and Shaheizy Sam.

Akhbar Md Thayoob, senior manager at Petronas Dagangan, told A+M the campaign is the first of its kind.

“We believe that each of these celebrities have their own unique attraction making them some of the most popular celebrities in their own respect. Just like at Petronas Dagangan that always strives to give a unique offering to our customers, we believe the synergy that the company has with the celebrities will benefit not just both parties, but most importantly Petronas customers and the celebrities’ fans.”

The campaign is part of a larger campaign to highlight Primax 95Xtra and promoted via TVCs, print ads, radio, social media, microsite, BTL and OOH.

On social media, Fuelled by Fans is promoted with the #Like2SaveFor hashtag.

The creative for the this campaign was executed by Leo Burnett, media by Zenith, public relations by Arc PR & Perspective and TwitterJaya for digital.
