4G wireless broadband service provider Packet One (P1) has launched its â€˜Lagi Potong Stim’ campaign to promote the new offering, One Plan.
One plan was created following a P1 research by Frost & Sullivan that showed 93% of broadband users in Malaysia compromising their broadband experience by using their mobile dongles at home and as a result left frustrated with their broadband services.
The latest â€˜Potong Stim’ campaign targets this segment. Through the campaign, P1 aims to educate broadband subscribers that using the right modem in the right environment is important to get a better broadband experience.
The integrated campaign is running across national newspapers, magazines, and radio. Social media and ground events also feature heavily in the campaign with the hash tag #potongstim being used when engaging users on the P1 Twitter and Facebook pages.
“Mobile dongles are optimised for outdoor use. For indoors, you need a device with a larger antenna and connected to a higher voltage power source to ensure stronger signal strength. The comparatively weaker mobile dongle with smaller antenna and powered via the laptop would not be able to perform as well as a home modem, especially through layers of walls indoors,” Michael Lai, CEO of P1 said.
One Plan offers customers Â a 3-in-1 package where they would getÂ two modems, a P1 4G home modem with WiFi and a P1 4G on the go modem and voice.
