Interbrand Group names global CEO

Brand consultancy Interbrand Group has appointed Charles Trevail (pictured left) as its global CEO, effective 1 January 2018. Currently the CEO of global customer agency C Space, Trevail will take over from Jez Frampton (pictured right), who is retiring at the end of the year after 22 years with the agency.C Space, which is part of DAS Group of Companies, a division of Omnicom Group, will now become part of the Interbrand Group. In a statement to Marketing, Interbrand Group's spokesperson said the partnership provides a platform to reinvent brand-building and experience-creation around people, technology and brands. There will not be any key personnel changes.Trevail will report to Chuck Brymer, CEO at DDB Worldwide. He will focus on driving growth for Interbrand Group's clients through brand building, customer insight and experience. Trevail has been the CEO of C Space for nearly four years. Before joining the company, he spent nine years as CEO of Promise Corporation, a company he founded. The company was later acquired by Omnicom Group and merged into what became C Space in 2012.Before founding Promise Corporation, Trevail was CEO of FutureBrand - EMEA, and MD of Brand Union. He has advised companies and governments worldwide, including British Airways, BMW, McDonald's, Telefonica and L'Oreal."It's a great honor to lead Interbrand. It is a high-profile business with incredible people and clients. It is also a brand that is one of the most admired and influential in the marketing community. The world of brands and customer experience is the growth engine for the future. I look forward to getting started and working with the team to deliver for clients," Trevail said.During his time as global CEO, Frampton oversaw the strategy and growth for Interbrand's 31 offices globally. He completed an overhaul of the business and its market offer to reflect the company's global clients' needs. He also pushed for digital transformation within Interbrand, moving from less than 10% digital to over 50% in three years. Frampton was also instrumental in driving the growth of Interbrand's Best Global Brands report.Prior to becoming the global CEO, Frampton was CEO of Interbrand London for three years and director of planning at Saatchi & Saatchi for three years."I have greatly enjoyed the last 12 years as CEO and Charles is the perfect person to take Interbrand to the next level. He is a passionate and proven leader who knows how to build relationships – with clients, with agency partners, and with talent – that build brands. I feel fortunate to be leaving Interbrand in such capable hands," Frampton said.
