Olympics fever hits Nestle Malaysia and Singapore employees

Nestle Malaysia has organised a sports meet for its employees to encourage them to lead fitter and healthier lifestyles. Dubbed the “Supermeet”, the event sees employees from Malaysia and Singapore congregating once every four years to compete in a range of sport activities.During this year’s Supermeet, as many as 22 events were organised, including sports such as badminton, football, netball, sepak takraw, tennis and athletics in order to encourage employee bonding. It saw over a thousand Nestlé athletes from 10 contingents across Malaysia and Singapore came together on the grounds of University of Malaya.After three days of intense competition, the Nestlé Malaysia head office and sales (HOU) contingent emerged victorious, winning top honours and bringing home the trophy.The Nestlé Omega Plus Fun Walk was one of the highlights of the event and saw almost 500 Nestlé employees and their families walk in solidarity towards greater heart health.“It has been a truly enjoyable experience to have united our Nestlé family from across Malaysia and Singapore through this initiative. I urge all our employees to continue to lead fitter, healthier lifestyles, not just for themselves, but for their loved ones as well,” Alois Hofbauer, region head, Nestlé Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei said.“We are delighted to be the champions for this Supermeet! Thank you to my team for the strong teamwork and great effort. We over-delivered and exceeded our expectations. Thank you also to our coaches, team members and sponsor,” Mohd Ridzuan, who led the winning team, Nestlé Malaysia HOU said.
