NTUC Link partners with Google to launch Android Pay across stores

NTUC Link has collaborated with NTUC FairPrice and Google to allow over two million Plus! members to earn LinkPoints by tapping their Android devices at over all NTUC FairPrice, FairPrice Xtra and FairPrice Finest outlets.

This allows its members the convenience of earning and redeeming reward points on their mobile phones, without the hassle of carrying a physical card around. To celebrate the launch of Plus! on Android Pay, members who use their Plus! card on Android Pay will get to earn thrice as many LinkPoints until the end of the year. According to Sandeep Bhalla, CEO of NTUC Link, Simplifying the consumer experience to earn and redeem LinkPoints was the main reason that made the collaboration with Google a “worthwhile investment”.

“With its high smartphone penetration rate and supportive partner ecosystem, Singapore is an ideal place to launch the first international rewards integration with Android Pay. We’re excited to collaborate with NTUC Link to bring Android Pay’s Smart Tap technology to Singapore. With this launch, Singaporeans will now be able to earn reward points and enjoy special offers across all NTUC FairPrice outlets with just a tap,” Stephanie Davis, country director for Google Singapore, said.
