Associate Director, Corporate Communications, Asia

A leading Investment Bank, providing a broad range of financing and risk management products and services to corporations, governments and financial institutions across the globe, is looking for a high caliber individual to join their Asia Corporate Communications team.

Reporting to the department head, you will be driving the communications effort in Asia Pacific for the firm's debt capital markets, credit and equity derivatives businesses.  You will be responsible for developing overall strategy and implementation of communications initiatives to increase the firm's visibility and enhance its public image with the business, financial and consumer press as well as with employees, key opinion leaders, decision makers and clients, supporting business goals for the Bank.  You will also be supporting the Bank's Asia Pacific outreach and reactive media relations program, including developing media strategies for significant business announcements; identifying news stories and selling in to target media; creating and disseminating press releases, Q&As and briefing documents; and responding to media questions and requests.

The ideal candidate is a degree holder in Communications/Journalism with about 10 years of experience in PR agency, corporate communications and/or journalism.  Financial services experience is required and debt capital markets knowledge is highly desirable.  Excellent written English and strong international media relations is vital to the success of the role.  You are a natural relationship builder with multi-cultural awareness gained through having worked within a global, team-oriented environment, able to mix strategic thinking with practical "hands-on" approach.  Team management experience with Asian language skills would be an advantage.
